Message	The car was totalled. If someone is on their phone and bumps into your car causing some cosmetic damage, the insurance company makes money off of you still. If you pay $5k for insurance over two years and total your car and they pay you $50k, they aren't really making a killing off of you at that point is what I think the article is trying to say.
